Starter guide

Putting an ad together in Markettai is three decisions in a row: what is seen, what it says and where it leads. The application fills in the rest. This section covers what you are deciding at each step and what is worth doing; the walk-through of the screen is in «Ads».

Illustration of the Markettai robot putting an ad together from three pieces: the image, the text and the page it leads to.

Step 1: the image or the video. It is what advertising calls the creative. You can upload material of your own or generate it with Markettai's AI (see «Creatives»). Make an extra effort here and produce three or four different versions of the same concept, not just one. It is the difference between having a replacement when the ad wears out and having to invent something in a hurry.

Step 2: the text. The headline and the call to action, which is the sentence telling the person what to do: book, buy, write. Apply what is in «What makes someone stop and look at your ad»: talk about the problem you solve, not about what you sell.

Step 3: the preview and the launch. Before launching you see how the ad looks in each place it will appear. This is the moment to check that the text is not cut off and that the link leads where it should. The ad is not published until you launch it.

After launching. The ad is now competing and spending. From there what matters is looking at it every day during the first week (see «Which numbers to watch and which to ignore») and being clear about when you will cut it (see «How much budget to set, when to raise it and when to cut»).
