Troubleshooting

Next to each Facebook page in your profile, Markettai can show one of these three warnings. All three mean something is missing in your Meta account, the company that owns Facebook and Instagram, not in Markettai, so we cannot fix them for you:

Warning
Missing permission to advertise
What is missing
Your Facebook user does not have the "Manage ads" task on that page
What stops working in the meantime
Creating ads with that page. You can still publish ordinary content on it
Warning
Missing permission to publish content
What is missing
Your user does not have the "Create content" task on that page
What stops working in the meantime
Publishing and scheduling posts on that page
Warning
Instagram not linked
What is missing
The page has no professional Instagram account attached
What stops working in the meantime
Posting to your Instagram. You can still work with your Facebook

Click the warning itself and the app opens a guide with the steps. Here they are, in case you prefer to have them in front of you.

Both permission warnings are fixed in Meta Business Settings; the guide has a button that takes you straight to your list of pages:

  1. Go to "Pages" and select the page with the warning.
  2. Open the "People" (or "Page access") tab.
  3. Add your user if it is not listed, and turn on the "Manage ads" and "Create content" tasks.

When you finish, click the guide's last button ("I already assigned the role -- reconnect") so Markettai checks the connection again.

To link Instagram, the steps happen on your Facebook page:

  1. Log in to Facebook, go to your page and open "Settings".
  2. Go to "Linked accounts" and select "Instagram".
  3. Click "Connect account" and log in with the Instagram account you want to link.
  4. Make sure it is a "Business" or "Creator" account. If it is still personal, switch it from the Instagram app under "Settings" > "Account" > "Switch to professional account"; it is free.

Once it is linked, go back to your profile in Markettai and click "Sync with Meta".
