Campaign Paused: Why Did My Advertising Stop?

If one of your campaigns appears as "Paused" in MarkettAI, the reason can stem from three main sources: 1) A manual action by you or another user, 2) An action by the BOOST Engine (AI), or 3) A restriction imposed by the advertising platform (Meta).

Diagrama de flujo que muestra los tres caminos principales que llevan al estado "Campaña en Pausa": Usuario, IA y Meta.

1. Common Causes Imposed by the Platform (Meta) ⛔

These pauses occur outside MarkettAI’s control and require direct action in your Business Manager:

  • Pending Ad Review: After creating or editing an ad, Meta submits it for review. If the review takes longer than 24 hours, the campaign may appear as "Pending" or, if the ad is rejected, as "Paused". Solution: Check the alert in the "Ads" tab on Meta.
  • Spend Limit or Rejected Payment: If the payment method registered with Meta has failed, the account freezes and pauses all campaigns. (Consult Payment Issues).
  • Policy Violation (Recurrent): If multiple ads are rejected or the account is flagged for suspicious behavior, Meta may pause the campaign as a precaution or suspend the ad account (1xxx Errors). Solution: Check "Account Quality" on Meta.

2. Automatic Pause by the BOOST Engine (AI) 🤖

If you use Total Delegation (Pro or Master Plan), the AI may decide to pause a campaign if it does not meet defined performance goals or if it shows signs of Creative Fatigue.

If a campaign was paused by the AI, you will find a clear notification in the Performance section and in the campaign log, labeled "Automatic Action: Pause due to Low Performance".

Solution: If you want the campaign to continue, you can manually resume it with the ON/OFF toggle in the MarkettAI Campaigns view. However, if the AI paused it, it is very likely not profitable. (Consult Automation Issues to understand how manual override works).

3. Troubleshooting a Paused Campaign

  1. Consult the Origin Platform (Meta): The most important step is to check the campaign status in Meta Business Manager to rule out payment, review, or blocking issues.
  2. Correct the Source of the Problem: If the problem is content-related, edit the creative. If it is payment-related, update your card.
  3. Reactivate in MarkettAI: Once the problem is resolved on Meta, turn the campaign on again in MarkettAI. The platform will attempt to sync the change and resume advertising.
