Getting started & onboarding
If your business has its own website with its own Meta pixel, you can tell Markettai which one it is. That way your sales ads can also lead to your website, not only to the landing pages Markettai creates for you.
For your pixel to work, it has to meet three conditions. Markettai checks them for you every day:
- The pixel is on your website, on the pages your ads lead to, and records your conversions (purchases, bookings, contacts). If your website is built with Shopify, WordPress or a similar tool, its Meta connection already does this.
- The ad account you connected can use it. In your Meta Business, the pixel has to be assigned to that account, and the person who connected Meta in Markettai has to have access to it.
- You tell us which one it is. In your profile, click the gear of the ad account, paste your pixel's number and save.
The Conversions API access token shown in that same form is optional. It is only needed if you want your Markettai landing pages to send their conversions to your pixel too.
As soon as you save, Markettai asks Meta whether your pixel receives visits from your website, and shows you the result under the account:
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Pixel verified on your domain | Meta sees your pixel on that website. Sales ads can lead there | Nothing |
| No events from your website | Meta has not seen your pixel on any website in the last 28 days | Click the notice: it opens the step of the guide that fixes it |
| No access to the pixel | The person who connected Meta cannot see that pixel | Click the notice: it explains how to give access in your Business |
| Pixel not checked yet | It has not been checked yet, or not for over a week | Click "Check now" in the account's gear |

If you change something in Meta, you do not have to wait until the next day: click "Check now". What counts is the exact website your ads lead to: a pixel verified on one website does not count for another, even if both belong to the same business.
Having your ads optimize for your own pixel's conversions, not just for clicks, is in early access. Once you have it, the summary of each sales campaign tells you what it optimizes for and why.
