Who to call first: temperature and "Call today"
Every client on the Clients screen has a temperature, and the list is sorted by it:
- Hot: they have an appointment or have bought from you.
- Warm: they have left their details and have no appointment or purchase yet.
- Cold: 24 hours have passed since they left their details with no appointment or purchase, and they have given no sign since.
"Call today". Among the warm ones, some carry this mark: they have shown a sign of interest in the last 48 hours. Three things count:
- Started booking: they picked a day or a time on your page, after leaving you their details.
- Clicked your email: they opened a link in one of your emails, the ones you send from Write, your templates or your sequences.
- Came back to your page: they visited your landing again, at least half an hour after leaving their details.
Clients with the mark come first among the warm ones, and they don't turn cold while it lasts. Under the temperature you see the reason in one line, for example "Came back to your page 3 hr. ago". The mark lasts 48 hours from the last thing they did: a new sign starts it again.
What doesn't count. Opening an email doesn't count, because some email apps open messages on their own. Neither do WhatsApp replies. Coming back to your page and starting to book only show if that person accepted analytics in your landing's cookie notice. And a client who came through a Meta form, without visiting your page, can only get the mark by clicking an email.
Changing it by hand. You can pick each client's temperature in their row. From then on it shows "You changed it", and nothing that client does changes it: neither a sign nor the hours going by. Choose "Back to automatic" in the same picker to let Markettai adjust it again. A new appointment or purchase does make it hot, even if you changed it.
The most common mistake when starting out is treating "Call today" as an appointment: it tells you there is interest, not a commitment. Call them that same day, while they still remember you.
